Tis the season of Wedding Fayres!

January sees the start of the wedding Fayres marathon and we have lots of lovely venues to visit and look forward to meeting lots of you too.
We kick off with the Double Tree Hilton, Yatton on 8th January and have listed the other Fayres below whilst trying to get Andrew to find time to continue on Rollie so ha can be ready for the summer. Poor man - new baby in the house, lots of farming to be done, demanding wife and weekends full of wedding Fayres!

8th January - Double Tree Hilton Yatton
15th January - Bristol Marriott, Broadmead
22nd January - Berwick Lodge, Cribbs Causeway area
29th January - Batch Farm, Lympsham
5th February - Walton Park Hotel, Clevedon
12th February - M Shed, Bristol
19th February - Clevedon Hall, Clevedon & Old Down Manor, Tockington
26th February - Bristol City Football Ground Dolman Stand.

Come and say hello if you can. Meanwhile, we must decide on the colour of Rollie. Now, we know that ivory is popular, but it's just not original and so we are in a quandary. I vote for black with a lovely light ivory interior. Very smart!
The wings have been finished (to be honest I would call them wheel arches-I thought wings went on planes, but what do I know!) so painting is near. All the nickel is still to be done. Come on boys, crack on with it!

Meanwhile, filming for Downton Abbey and Upstairs Downstairs continues sending Andrew off at ungodly hours in the morning. Life is never dull!

Rollie starts his make over!

Our Vintage 1930 Rolls Royce arrived last year and has finally hit the workshop to begin restoration.
All the upholstery is out, the wings are off and being reshaped to their former glory and if I didnt know better, I would say that 'Rollie', as he has affectionately become known, is beginning to smile.

He doesn't look bad here, but he needs a new coat of paint, new upholstery and a fine tuning of the engine before he is ready to be let out for special occassions such as weddings. The boys, Andrew and Roger, will do alot of the work themselves, leaving me to have some well deserved quiet nights at home. Of course I shall think of them out in the cold shed as the evenings draw in, but somehow, it's better than the pub!

We are going to keep him, 'Rollie', as original as possible. Watch this space for more updates - he should be finished by next summer. He's already been booked for a wedding, so I hope he's ready! Can't wait!
